Language Marketplace had made a commitment for 2017 to be a year in which it went above and beyond being generous and helping others. We also set out to demonstrate that actions speak louder than words, in all languages.
We believe being charitable and helping those less fortunate is not only the duty of corporations and small and medium business, but it is our duty as people. Doing business with companies and service providers that give back to the world community, is good business. This is what we have done this year so far, https://www.languagemarketplace.com/Translation_services_social_responsibility.html.
Last year we provided assistance to members of the Forest Brook Community Church, in Ontario, where some members of their congregation for the 5th year in a row took part on a humanitarian mission to Guatemala, to help rebuild a school that had been affected by the mud slides. This year their mission will continue to build on what is still needed in the school, but in addition they are adding a Medical Mission component to their visit. The group’s goal is to vaccinate 500 children that have no access to health care or vaccines, and that live in the slum areas.
In translation services we work with written words, and in interpretation we use our spoken ‘words’ to communicate in various languages, to get our clients ideas and information across.
However to help those less fortunate, actions speak louder than words.
Language Marketplace has committed itself to a monetary donation to aid with the new Medical Mission portion of these humanitarians that will travel for the 6th year to Guatemala to help.
